Professional Auto Collision Repairs

Collision repair, frame straightening, paint and glass, all under one roof.

Five service lines run out of one shop at 31 Edwards Dr. Read on for how each job actually gets done, or call and describe the damage and we will tell you straight what it needs.

Structural and cosmetic

Collision and auto body repair

This is the work most vehicles come in for: a collision, a parking lot dent that turned into more than a dent, or a vehicle that arrived on a truck. We write the estimate, talk to your insurer, and put the vehicle back to pre-accident condition.

What hidden damage looks like once the panel is off

An estimate gets written from what can be seen before the vehicle is opened up. Once a panel comes off, we sometimes find damage nobody could have priced from the outside, and that estimate has to move. If that happens, one of our customer service representatives calls you and explains what changed before any of it gets added to the ticket.

Structural restoration, measured back to the manufacturer's own spec

We certify that the structural restoration of your vehicle is based on the vehicle manufacturer's own recommended specifications, not a general shop average. That certification is what our lifetime workmanship warranty is built on, and it is why the paperwork on a structural repair looks different from a bumper cover swap.

The insurer conversation, and your right to choose the shop

Collision South is a direct repair shop for most major insurance companies in the Jackson area, which means we already work inside their process and their paperwork moves faster. Even so, you are only required by law to get one estimate, and it can be from the shop you choose. We handle the back and forth with your insurer and appraiser so you are not stuck relaying numbers between two parties.

Measured, not eyeballed

Unibody and frame straightening, structural repair and alignment

Anything that touches the frame or the unibody underneath the sheet metal is treated as a structural job first and a cosmetic job second. We have frame straighteners on site to do it.

On-site frame straighteners, and what back to spec means

The frame straightener is on site, not at a sublet shop across town, so a structural repair does not sit waiting on a trailer between two garages. Back to spec means the unibody or frame is pulled until it matches the manufacturer's own measurements again, not until it looks straight to the eye.

How a pull is measured, not eyeballed

A pull is not stopped once a panel looks straight. It is checked back against the manufacturer's own measurement points until the numbers match, the same standard we certify in writing on every structural repair we hand back to a customer.

Why alignment is a structural question, not a wheel question

Alignment is one of the last checks on a structural repair, not the first. If the frame or unibody underneath is even a little off, it shows up later as uneven tire wear or a wheel that pulls, long after the bodywork looks finished. We check alignment as part of the structural repair itself, not as a separate errand tacked on at the end.

Computer matched

Custom painting, paint and finish, and computer colour matching

A repaired panel that does not match the rest of the vehicle is a repair that failed, even if the metalwork underneath is perfect. Matching the finish is its own discipline here, not an afterthought.

The computer paint-matching system

Paint match is not done by eye. Our computer matching system, combined with our trained technicians and the technical support that comes with the paints we use, is how a repaired panel comes back reading as the same color as the rest of your vehicle, not a close guess sitting next to it.

The full-service booth, and why cure conditions matter

Paint that cures in a controlled booth behaves differently than paint that cures in open air, in temperature and airborne dust both. Our full-service paint booth is part of why the finish holds up the way it should, not just on the day you pick the vehicle up.

A lifetime warranty on the paintwork

The paintwork on every repair carries the same lifetime warranty as the rest of our workmanship, for as long as you own the vehicle. That covers the parts, materials and labor that went into it, and it is a statement about how the job was done, not a slogan.

Chip or replacement

Glass repair

Cracked auto glass gets looked at properly before anything is ordered, because a chip and a replacement are not the same job and do not cost the same.

Is your auto glass cracked? Does it need immediate repair?

Chip or replacement, decided before anything is ordered

A cracked windshield does not always need a full replacement. We look at the size, the location and how far it has spread before deciding whether it is a repair or a replacement, so you are not paying for glass you did not need.

Lifetime warranty on the workmanship

Glass work carries the same lifetime warranty on workmanship as our body and paint work. If something about the install is not right, that is on us to fix, for as long as you own the vehicle.

Spray-in bed liners and truck toppers

Spray in Bed Liners

Protect the bed of your truck with a sprayed lining, or have a topper ordered and fitted here. Both are smaller jobs than a collision repair, and we move them through the shop faster.

Protect your truck bed with professional help from Collision South. We can complete the job within 24 hours.

Most bed liners are finished within 24 hours

A spray-in liner is one of the faster jobs we do. Most trucks are in and out within 24 hours, so you are not without your truck for a week over a bed liner.

A range of colours, not one factory grey

You choose from a wide range of colors for the liner rather than a single stock finish, so it can match or contrast with the rest of the truck the way you want it to.

Truck toppers, fitted to the truck

We also order and fit truck toppers, matched to the truck rather than to a catalog guess, and install them here in the shop before you drive off. The gray RAM 2500 below is one we finished, topper included.

Call for pricing on your model

Bed liner and topper pricing depends on the bed size and the truck itself, so we quote it over the phone rather than posting one flat number that would be wrong for half the trucks that call us. Call and describe your truck and we will give you a number.

Also handled in the shop

Paintless dent removal and interior repair

Two more jobs come through here regularly that do not always get their own line on a website. Paintless dent removal pulls a minor dent back out without touching the factory paint, when the panel and the paint allow for it. Interior repair covers the inside of the vehicle after a collision, not just the outside. Ask about either one when you call, and we will tell you if your vehicle is a candidate.

Estimates are free and written here on site. Parts normally take about two days to arrive once the estimate is written, and you can generally count on about five hours of repair work a day after that, so a 25-hour estimate runs roughly five days.
